"Grey Owl"

Born Archibald Belaney in Hastings, England, in 1888, his love of the
outdoors and fascination with the Canadian Indian eventually led him
to take on the apperance and lifestyle of a native. In 1931 the National Parks
service hired him to live in Prince Albert National Park, to reintroduce the
beaver into northern Saskatchewan, but mostly to publicize the park.
For seven years, until his death in 1838, a visit to Grey Owl's log cabin on
Lake Ajawaan was a highlight for tourists and celebrities alike.
